Sunday Brunch: Crème on the 14th Street Corridor

As Sophistocrats, Sunday may actually be one of our favorite days of the week. The opportunity to unwind from a long workweek, watch sports, and of course meet up with fellow Sophistocrats for brunch, makes Sundays worthwhile. This past Sunday we had the urge to swing over to Crème located on the 14th Street corridor in NW DC. The restaurant, which was once located on 13th and U, features a small, yet intimate, dining area and bar with a chic and industrial feel. For us late bloomers, and hard partyers, Crème offers brunch until 4pm, which is a great convenience, not found at other brunches. As a main course, we recommend “The Chesapeake” (pictured below) which is poached egg served over Maryland jumbo crabmeat hash, on top of an English muffin. As a side, we loved the breakfast potatoes and ordered bottomless mimosas (for $18) and trust us, they did a great job of keeping our glasses full. In addition, make sure you save your receipt from brunch and come back Tuesday-Thursday and get 25% off of your bill. Head over to Crème and be sure to let us know what you think. Cheers Sophistocrats!
